Russia, the US, Putin, Trump, and Obama

This is potentially an explosive period in US political history with global implications. And we now face a critical moment. What I will share today is disturbing, but real. I think George Friedman at Geopolitical Futures provides a very frank, straight-forward explanation and I want to share it with you. You can see it at his site.

I have shared things from Stratfor, which George founded and directed for two decades, in the past. In fact, the last post up here is one of George’s essays. Now that he has sold his interest in Stratfor, he has taken the opportunity to create this new geopolitical analysis service that allows him, once again, the freedom to share his insight as he chooses without feeling stifled by a large organization. He does not mince words.

I know I haven’t posted here in ages. Frankly, I am totally tied up in my own business. I haven’t given up writing, I was published in Barron’s for the sixth time this last August. I haven’t even had the time to post that here yet! So my apologies, but I have to do what I have to do, just like you and everyone else. I haven’t forgotten you, but remember, this is a “personal notebook”, so it has to take its place further back in the line.

In any case, take a moment to consider what George has to say. If nothing else, it is provocative!

This is a personal blog, more of a personal notebook, unadvertised and without promotion. I try to post on a weekly basis, but there is no guarantee. Should you stumble across it and wish to be notified of new posts, just enter your email address at the upper-right of this page. I have no other use for email addresses. Rest assured, yours will be kept private. I also now tweet to share articles and essays that I think are important, but do not have room for here. You are welcome to make comments, if they are on topic and polite. I have no time or space for insults, foul language, or anything I judge to be offensive to readers.
